Vintage apron yellow split leg shop. Shop apron of the 1940s-1950s in yellow duck canvas. These types of aprons were also known as split leg aprons or semi-o'alls. It has 4 utility pockets (one on the chest, one on the waist with 3 compartments). The intertwined straps are sewn to bathe and adjusted to size with illets. 4 leg straps are attached to the inside of the leg and act on the outer leg. The apron measures about 35de long x 25 wide with legs 13 1/2 wide. The apron is used and worked in a vintage state, with some discoloration in the areas and a few small holes. It was washed and suspended to dry, but retains a distinctive and comforting workshop smell. The smell is not overwhelming, it is rather evocative and pleasant.
Press buttons for leg straps all work. This neat old apron was used on a farm to work on tractors and in the carpentry shop. It would be just as useful today as it was in the 1940s and 1950s.
