Build your own waxed canvas and heavy leather work apron. Tell me where you want the leather pockets I know that every apron bearing profession has different requirements for their pockets. The illustrated apron (black waxed canvas or nutmeg) is the blank canvas, on which I will place the pockets, strips or rings where you want them. Send me a paper sketch and I'll make it come true. Bartenders, hairdressers, welders, butchers, cabinetmakers, etc. I started making these aprons for myself in my custom sandal shop. Each apron is made of the highest quality 15 oz waxed canvas and 12 oz black denim. I then add brass snaps, rings, curls and rivets.

The rear harness is made from veg tanned leather straps and soft cotton rope. Leather pockets and harnesses are made from conditioned vegetal tanned leather.

The apron is double thick. It sewed like a pillow and pulled right side and double edge sewn. I sew (hd 92 nylon net glued) and rivet the pockets of tanned leather veg at the front of the waxed canvas. This thing is not a single cheap layer of waxed canvas.

I only buy the thickest and thickest waxed canvas of big duck canvas. The waxed canvas can be re-waxed if necessary. It is fully adjustable with minimal effort. Heavy brass slaps and conway curls will last for decades. I developed my own y-style harness after getting tired of the weight on my neck like a standard apron. The black cotton rope is deceed to be cut to fit. I only do one apron a week in my basement and garage. I do them only in late fall and winter when the sandal industry is slowing down.

I've done it all myself and I'm very proud of my work. Each apron represents about 8 hours of cutting, sewing and riveting.
